Projects Adding Value by Expanding Diversity (PAVED) is an initiative developed by Tx DOT’s Civil Rights Division to increase Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in heavy highway construction projects.
PAVED targets specific project opportunities in various areas of the state and focuses events on each of these projects.
At these events, DBEs will not only learn about these opportunities, but will also have the opportunity to network with prime contractors.
Learn more about Tx DOT’s proposed projects in the 2018 Unified Transportation Plan (UTP).

Annie attended classes at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston while she apprenticed at Richard Lufkin Company as an illustrator and calligrapher. After retiring from the Bank of Boston, Annie returned to Chappaquiddick, where she lived until her death. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chappy Community Center.Annie loved to travel, knit, photograph, and paint, but her fondest memories were the summers spent in the Chappy School House on Cape Pogue Pond dating back to the 1940s. She loved the Chappy life: clamming, scalloping, sailing, and beach plum jelly making — no Christmas was complete without a jar of Annie’s precious beach plum jelly. Annie is survived by brothers Bart and Brad Heywood, nieces Brigid Bergholz and Ashley Allred, nephews Duncan and Nathaniel Heywood, and her six beloved great nieces and nephews.
